Get your free estimateAmarr Roller Replacement: The Fort Worth Owner’s Guide
Amarr roller replacement in Fort Worth typically runs $110 – $220 installed, and we carry Amarr-compatible rollers on the truck for same-day swaps in most cases. You’ll usually know a roller has failed before you see it: the door starts grinding, shudders on the way up, or leans slightly to one side. Sometimes a roller pops out of the track entirely, and the door jams hard. If your Amarr door has started making noise or fighting the track, the rollers are the first place we look.

Which Amarr Models This Applies To
Amarr builds residential doors across several lines: Lincoln, Heritage, Classica, Hillcrest, and the builder-grade Stratford and Olympus series. The roller spec depends on the door weight and track radius, not just the model name, which is why we always measure the stem length and wheel diameter before bolting anything in. Most Amarr residential doors use either a 2″ nylon roller with a 4″ stem or a 7/16″ stem on the heavier Classica and Lincoln 3000 panels. Fewer still run a 2″ steel bearing roller when the door tops 200 pounds.
Amarr’s OEM rollers are fine parts, but the nylon wheels wear flat over time, especially in Fort Worth heat. We stock both OEM Amarr rollers and a higher-grade aftermarket roller with sealed ball bearings that runs quieter and lasts longer. The aftermarket roller costs about the same installed and saves you a second service call down the road. If you want the exact part Amarr shipped, we can order it. If you want the door quiet and smooth, we’ll show you the difference on the truck before we install anything.

Signs Your Amarr Roller Replacement Is Failing
- The door grinds or squeals when moving. A flat spot on the nylon wheel scrapes the track instead of rolling. The sound changes as the wheel rotates, so it’ll often sound rhythmic rather than constant.
- Visible wear or chipping on the wheel. Look at the rollers where they meet the vertical track. If the wheel edge looks squared off, cracked, or chipped, the bearing surface is gone.
- The door shudders or jerks partway up. A worn roller catches on the track seam or slight misalignment, causing the panel to buck. This stresses the hinges and cable, so don’t let it ride.
- A roller has popped out of the track. This happens when the wheel wears down enough to slip between the track lips. The door usually hangs or jams at that point, and running the opener makes it worse.
- The door sits slightly crooked in the opening. One bad roller on a lower panel can drop that corner a half inch, which throws off the balance and makes the opener work harder.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
In Fort Worth, full roller replacement on an Amarr door runs $110 – $220 installed. That covers all rollers on the door (typically 8 to 12, depending on door height and track radius), the labor to swap each one, and a quick track and hinge check while we’re in there. Doors with high lift track or extra panel count land at the top of that range, as do models that still have steel rollers with worn bearings.
We hand you a written price before we touch the door. That number is the number you pay, no surprises on the back end. The work is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if a roller fails within a year, we come back and make it right at no charge, in writing. You don’t negotiate for that. It’s just how the job runs.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely inspect the rollers. With the door closed, look at each roller through the track opening and check the wheel surface. If you see flat spots, chips, or visible wobble, you’ve found the problem. What you should not try is pulling the bottom roller out yourself. The bottom bracket holds significant cable tension, and the bottom roller is under load from the door weight. The bottom bracket bolts to the cable loop, and if you unbolt the wrong thing without clamping the torsion system, that cable can unspool fast and the door can kick sideways.
Most roller replacements take under an hour with the right tools and the door safely braced. We do this every day across Fort Worth, we bring the exact rollers for your Amarr model on the truck, and the price is in writing before we start. Call (682) 730-8314 and tell me what it’s doing, and I’ll tell you what it needs.
FAQs
Most Amarr rollers last 6 to 10 years in this climate. Fort Worth heat accelerates nylon wear, and doors on west-facing garages tend to use their rollers harder. Steel bearing rollers can go 15 years or more but run louder the whole time.
Yes, but we don’t recommend it. Rollers wear at roughly the same rate, which means replacing one buys you a few months before the next one fails. Replacing all of them at once is usually cheaper than three or four separate truck-roll charges. Call (682) 730-8314 and we’ll give you a flat price for the full set.
Thirty to sixty minutes for a standard residential door. It’s a same-visit job, and we’ll have the door running before we hand you the invoice.
We do. Our trucks carry Amarr-compatible rollers in the common stem lengths and wheel diameters, plus the sealed-bearing upgrade for homeowners who want the door quieter. We also stock parts for LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Genie openers, so if the opener contributed to the wear, we can address that in the same visit.
